The Legend of Bheemana Amavasya
The legend says that there was a Brahmin couple who went to visit Kashi to get the favors of Shiva. They deserted their girl, as the adventure would be long and dreary. Their senior child was requested to care for the young lady and get her wedded in the event that they didn’t return.
The couple did not return even following multi year and this stressed the sibling, as he needed to get his sister wedded. He would not like to spend a great deal of cash on this.
In the meantime, he ran over the news that the ruler’s child (sovereign) has passed away. The ruler conveyed a demand that he needed to get his child wedded before he was taken to the fire. In this way, he got her sister wedded to the dead ruler in return of cash.
On their approach to fire, it began raining vigorously. Everybody raced to get a cover aside from the young lady’s who remained with her dead sovereign. The following day was Ashada Amavasya and the Puja day.
She petitioned the God and kept a quick for her dead spouse. She took after the custom of making mud balls for supplicating. Right then and there, a youthful couple showed up and the man broke the mud balls, according to the custom. The couple at that point advised her to wake her better half. When the young lady contacted the sovereign’s shoulder, he woke up. The young lady all of a sudden acknowledged who the youthful couple was.
